Reviewer: Rowena Lim Lei (12.2.2000) Synopsis: Review: Weiss Kreuz is action-packed, fast-paced, and exciting. I couldn't stop watching after catching the first couple of eps. The guys are innocent florists in a quaint little flower shop (which also serves as their HQ) by day, and full-fledged assasins by night. Whoever the target is really does wind up dead by the end of the episode, and the guys' double lives are a secret kept to themselves. Characterization is good as each of the four members are given background episodes as well as situations that they deal with on a personal basis. This gives us insights on what makes them tick and what drives them to do what they do. As a bonus for female fans, these guys are lookers too. From somber to cute, there's a Weiss Kreuz guy for every anime fan girl's fantasy. The art and animation are exceptional and consistent throughout the series. The action is generally well-choreographed and executed, and all the characters (that includes the villains) look very good. In the later part of the series, the Takatoris will have a group of four (how convenient!) beautiful and sexy young women who constantly face off with the Weiss Kreuz guys in their missions. The music is also worth checking out. The seiyuus sing the themes themselves. All in all, Weiss Kreuz is a great anime which has a lot to offer for both male and female fans.
