Synopsis:
Masato and Chihiro's once ideal relationship has reached rock bottom. Chihiro still loves Masato, but Masato's convinced that she cheated on him. Enter the cute and naive Miku. Masato gets along with Miku perfectly, and they share many common interests. Will Chihiro and Masato ever get back together again?

Review:
As if the stunts Masato pulled in the previous volume "Autumn Heat" weren't enough, in Winter Heat, he wastes no time getting into the skirt of yet the next girl who comes along -- Miku.

Having convinced himself that he and Chihiro are through, Masato makes no effort to try and work things out with the girlfriend he claims to have loved. Chihiro, in the meantime, must be something of an idiot to keep on trying to get Masato back after all the things he has done (and is doing). But this time, mutual friends of the quarelling couple step in to help them patch things up.

I find that Masato to be nothing more than a sex-starved loser who always needs to have things spelled out for him, and I'm pretty peeved at how everything is oh-so-fine and dandy for that creep in the end. He gets his cake, and everybody else's cake, and eats them all. I must say though, WH has the best artwork among all the Heat volumes. The girls are more beautifully drawn, and the overall animation is pretty smooth. The sexual content is very graphic, even more so than the previous installments. The English dubbing remains consistently passable, and I don't remember hearing too much porn-star talk from Masato this time. I have trouble accepting the ending though... Masato just doesn't deserve it.

Winter Heat is the final installment of the 3-volume Season Heat series. "Summer Heat" is the first, and "Autumn Heat" is the second. The DVD release contains all the Heat volumes.
