Synopsis:
Yusaku is a young medical student who hopes to become a great doctor someday. He goes off to Morino Clinic to work as a medical assistant, under the guidance and tutelage of Dr. Bear. On the train to Morino Clinic, Yusaku is captivated by a beautiful girl. He later finds out that the girl is actually one of Dr. Bear's patients, and it seems she needs Yusaku's help to get well -- as do the rest of the female patients at Morino Clinic!

Review:
I bought Virgin Touch because I was attracted to the DVD cover, which consisted of overlapping character snapshots against an azure blue sky. The funny thing is, after watching Virgin Touch in its entirety, I realized that the DVD cover is actually its best feature.

Virgin Touch pans out in a mechanical pace, making its bishoujo game roots painfully obvious. Yusaku arrives at Morino Clinic, and several girls are introduced: the girl on the train whose name starts with a "K"; Syrup, a bespectacled girl on a wheelchair; Ibuki, Dr. Bear's daughter who is also Yusaku's childhood friend; Miama, yet another cutesy childhood friend; and lastly, the green-haired head nurse whose name escapes me. There seems to be a lag at this point (as if the player is pondering which girl to scope out first), and then Yusaku decides to go for the girl on the train. Yusaku later discovers that the girl suffers from some sort of eating disorder, and the girl in turn begs Yusaku to "help" her. Being the hentai feature that it is, "help" is equivalent to Yusaku banging the ailing girl. Rinse and repeat. Yusaku ends up banging all the girls who need "help", including a couple of terminally ill ones. It's so weird because terminally ill girl no. 1 dies after pledging her eternal love to Yusaku, they mourn a bit, and then come the next day Yusaku gets involved with terminally ill girl no. 2 as if girl no. 1 never existed. I actually found the whole sequence of events funny.

The art and animation are pretty good. Character designs are attractive enough, and most of the scenes are crisp and vibrant. There is one main flaw with regards to the visuals though, and that's the lighting. There's too much haze during sex scenes, such that everything looks pale and washed out. Sun lighting effects, in turn, blur parts of the screen during outdoor scenes. You only have to check out the screenshots below in order to see what I mean. Sex is depicted explicitly, albeit everything is kept relatively straightlaced in the sense that there's no bondage, S&M, and that sort of thing. The English dubbing sounds awkward with the voice actors' wooden and singsong deliveries.

Virgin Touch is all in all an average hentai feature. The premise had potential, but I believe it would have been a lot better had they just concentrated on one or two girls' stories rather than letting us sample the whole smorgasbord at the expense of the plot.
