Synopsis:
Keiichi really wants to sleep with his best friend Tomo and often dreams about doing just that. However, this time his surreal sexcapade is invaded by a large breasted woman he has never met before that gives him a little extra “bang” for his buck. A short time later this mysterious woman returns, no longer a figment of his dreams, as a resident in his home and is revealed to be his step sister Reika (so no blood relation). Will Keiichi be able to finally start up a relationship with his long time love interest, or will Reika and her “assets” keep him from his true love?

Review:
Two Facials of Eve is a single OAV only 30 minutes in length. Not wanting to waste any time, it starts out with Keiichi dreaming about having sex with his best friend Tomo by the pool at school. After having a little fun with her and some ropes, his dream is invaded by an unknown woman who replaces Tomo and starts having a little fun with Keiichi herself. A little disturbed and very aroused, Keiichi tries not to think about it and goes on with his daily life. Days later, a new roommate appears suddenly at his house, her name is Reika, and she is his foster mother’s niece. At first he approaches the situation with apprehension, not wanting to sleep with his cousin even if they aren’t related, but as with nearly every hentai title he succumbs and sex in different situations ensues.

Now, while I don’t expect much for a hentai title of this length, it would be nice if it at least made sense. Somehow Reika is able to invade Keiichi’s dreams, interact with him, and know his darkest desires. While this is really the only supernatural aspect to the release, it had me scratching my head at the end, wondering how the hell she did that. I guess they never figured anyone would care about exactly how she was able to pull this off, just that it was a plot device they could use.

The animation ranges from rather poor to about average, which is quite sad considering it was made in 2006. Characters are animated oddly, sometimes disfigured, other times completely plain, often times it’s just not good. Concerning the characters, Reika is the best looking of the bunch and reminded me of one of Rumiko Takahashi’s designs. Other than that people just looked rather strange, especially coupled with the poor animation. Considering this is a hentai title, its poor art and animation are very hard hitters in this shows already lackluster performance.

Now when it comes to the English dub, things aren’t much better. The male voices are alright, that is to say they are passable, but not exactly a joy to listen to. On the other hand the female cast sounds like a group of recruited porn stars, and that isn’t a compliment. Just avoid the dub and stick with the Japanese track, which sounds perfectly fine.

In the end, Two Facials of Eve, a title which makes absolutely no sense in relation to the release, is just a slightly intriguing hentai title with a number of problems that will make this a onetime watch for most people. It does have its moments, usually with regard to its sex scenes between Keiichi and Reika, but other than that it is just poorly animated and pointless.

Miscellanies:
Two Facials of Eve does have some slight femdom in it, which is a welcome change from the usual male dominance seen in hentai titles.
