Synopsis:
Five more naughty tales from Ujin:

• "SM Snake" - Yujita is a nerdy and homely teenage guy who just can't seem to score with any girl. But Yujita's troubles may soon be over! A sexy android cat girl named Doraemon pops up in his life one fine day. Doraemon gives Yujita help and guidance, as well as some outlandish gadgets he can use. In this episode, Yujita uses a strange creature called SM Snake to get into the pants of his dream girl...
• "Mirace Alien" - This is yet another story about the geeky Yujita and the sensuous Doraemon. In an attempt to lose his virginity, Yujita goes to a call girl. As soon as she sees Yujita's manhood, she tells him it reminds her of her little brother's member. The problem is, her brother is still a toddler! A depressed Yujita runs away and asks Doraemon for help with his size.... and so Doraemon whips up Miracle Alien! Miracle Alien's goal is to help all guys with a small penis. It might just be the answer to Yujita's shortcomings!
  
• "Skydiving in Love" - Koban and Sameo have a very strange arrangement. Koban gets Sameo's leftovers, but he also pays for Sameo's dates! One day, Koban rescues a pretty girl named Shiori from an attacker in the park. Koban immediately falls for Shiori, but is too shy to say anything. Sameo then proceeds to set up Koban and Shiori... on a skydiving date!
• "New Century Queen" - Mai Inoue desperately wants to become a showbiz personality, and she's ready to do just about anything to make her dream come true. Mai decides to join the upcoming beauty pagent "New Century Queen", where claiming the title may be her ticket to fame. To improve her chances, Mai decides to get acquainted with the handsome producer Akagi. But Akagi has plans of his own...
• "The Vampire Tradition" - Pretty girls are disappearing from St. Stoker University, and the student council president thinks vampires are behind it! A European transfer student named Kanna decides to get to the bottom of things...

Review:
Vixens was originally released on VHS several years ago as "Visionary", spanning two separate volumes. I never thought this day would come but at last -- all the episodes are out on a single DVD!

The first two stories featured in Vixens are actually hentai spoofs of the classic and wholesome anime "Doraemon". Only here, Doreimon is an android cat girl instead of a robo-cat. If the Doreimon eps were all that comprised Vixens, I would have dished out a 5-star rating. The Doreimon eps are hilarious! My hubby and I were laughing our butts off watching Yujita's misadventures and Doreimon's crazy gadgets. The creativity and humor behind the original Doraemon are captured and translated to hentai very nicely. Don't get me wrong, you don't have to be familiar with Doraemon to enjoy those eps. They can stand on their own, and knowing about the anime they are parodying is just an additional bonus.

I didn't find the last three stories particularly striking, but they aren't that bad either. The schoolgirls in "New Century Queen" are basically a bunch of teenage sluts willing to peddle their bodies for a shot at showbiz. Indecent schoolgirls aren't really anything new in the porn scene, so I guess there's nothing really astonishing about this.

The art and animation are pretty good. The characters are drawn well, especially the girls. They have beautiful faces and luscious-looking bodies to match. The sexual content is relatively mild. The most you see are boobs, butts, and lots of panties. Intercourse is depicted artfully, transposing symbolisms like cannons and flowers in place of the actual genitalia. Some erotic stuff are highlighted and drawn in detail -- moist nipples, drenched undies, etc. As most of Ujin's work go, they are designed more for tittilation rather than saturation. The English dubbing is tolerable. I can tell that the same dub actress for Ogenki Clinic's Nurse Tatase is also the voice of Doreimon. She does a slightly better job with Doreimon, although it's still not great. The other voices aren't anything special either.

Vixens is overall an enjoyable collection, and it's good to see that it's finally out on DVD.

Miscellanies:
Shiori of the episode "Skydiving in Love" looks like Urara of "Sakura Diaries". Don't be fooled by the cheesy looking DVD cover. This is one hentai DVD that would be a great addition to any anime collection.
