Synopsis:
Three naughty and tempestuous tales:

• "When Idols Fall Prey to Lady Luck" - A composer sleeps around with up and coming young singers for inspiration, all the while fantasizing about his first love.
• "When a Virgin Steals a Man" - Mr. Toyama is the president of one of the largest companies in Japan. Admired and respected by all, he is handsome, wealthy, and very influential. What they don't know is he's also "Toyama no Benbei", a man who rapes women for a fee. In this episode, a scorned woman seeks Toyama's help in exposing a fake virgin who stole her fiancé.
  
• "When a Superior Takes Your Girl" - Another "Toyama no Benbei" adventure. There's trouble in the company. Iwata's girlfriend Kyoko is being eyed by the manager, and the manager's daughter wants Iwata. Iwata has no choice but to submit to their wishes because he is a mere underling. Time for "Toyama no Benbei" to straighten things out!

Review:
Tales of Seduction is the DVD release of the 1991 hentai videotaope U-jin Brand which I had originally reviewed back in 2001. I had mixed feelings after watching Tales of Seduction. One thing's certain though -- this isn't your usual hentai fare. The stories have a knack for throwing a surprise twist right in your face. Some are funny, some are a bit strange, but all are amusing, imaginative, and original.

The first story's concept disturbed me. Talent managers were actually calling the composer and scheduling "private sessions" for their debuting idol singers. It got me wondering if this sort of activity is prevalent in the music industry... and then a hilarious event breaks out near the end of the episode which had me laughing my butt off. The "Toyama no Benbei" tales are quite amusing. Although "rape" is the term they use in the episodes, I don't think Toyama really rapes. What he does is more of seduction, as the women end up consenting to sexual intercourse. The proper description would have been "Toyama no Benbei seduces women for a fee". The Toyama stories are set in the corporate world, and Toyama does his "rape" jobs for the sake of the greater good... or for the company's welfare. All the stories have a realistic feel, silly as some of the situations are. You're tittilated by the thought that these things are possible.

The art and animation are of good quality. Most of the girls are exceptionally pretty, and most of the guys look above average. With regards to sexual content, Tales of Seduction is on the mild side. The most you'll see are underwear, breast shots, and lusty facial expressions. If this were a Hollywood movie, it would probably be the equivalent of an R rated film. The English dubbing is pretty good too.

Tales of Seduction seamlessly weaves in deeper themes to its generally light storytelling, making it one of the few hentai titles actually worth watching and collecting.
