Reviewer: Rowena Lim Lei (9.30.2003) Synopsis: Review: Contrary to how most hentai titles depict teen male protagonists, Keisuke actually never gets to have any sex... save for one wet dream and one "educational" tryst with a nurse. Oh he has the usual string of girls who like him, namely his stereotypical tomboyish childhood friend Rina and the well-endowed lolicon Meimi. Surprisingly though, he doesn't bed any of them because all he wants is to be with Misa. Where's the sex then? Well, Keisuke's gorgeous blonde best friend Toshiya has his own unique ways of procuring information about Misa -- and it involves pleasuring girls who know Misa into talking. In fact, watching Toshiya was quite a treat, since he's very skilled in the art of seduction and he's one of the best-looking guys I've ever seen in a hentai series. The art and animation are done very nicely. TriAngle excels in character design and depiction of sex, such that every encounter is concensual, erotic, and detailed. There's just something about watching people give each other so much pleasure without the slightest hint of reluctance, a point which more recent hentai titles seem to ignore. The English dubbing is tolerable at best. Keisuke sounds like a girl, Toshiya's speech is overly westernized, and the girls are neither good nor awful. Admittedly, TriAngle's unoriginal plot is on the predictable side. There's no element of surprise nor is there any major plot twist. It is likeable enough though, with its rather ideal portrayal of love and pleasant characterization of all the concerned parties. Recommended for those who are into nice and sweet hentai.
