Reviewer: Rowena Lim Lei Synopsis: Review: Twin Dolls is about Mai and Ai Amatsu, a couple of pretty teenage girls who've been trained since childhood to fight and channel their divine powers. Mai is highly skilled with the glaive, while Ai is adept with the bow and arrow. Mai and Ai are the latest in the Amatsu line of twin sisters tasked with keeping demons at bay while protecting their fellow Tennyo descendant Onimaro. Mai and Ai are about as opposite as the stereotypical twin sisters go -- Mai is friendly, Ai is aloof; Mai is easily distracted to the point of being ditzy, Ai is always cool and collected. The main fault I found in Twin Dolls is the fact that it's extremely redundant. The two episodes that comprise this series have the same basic story: some horny ancient demon wants to be resurrected so he can take over the world and have lots of sex slaves. What's more, the episodes also share the same sequence of events: demons want to get the twins, demons possess some female classmates, stupid Mai falls into the demons' trap, Ai goes to the rescue, and the twins whip some demon butt. The premises for which everything happens are nothing but excuses to show heaps of monster rape scenes. The art and animation are quite good. Mai and Ai look attractive enough, and their fight scenes are characterized by graceful yet agile movements -- especially when they execute their ultimate attack, a holy dance that can wipe out even the strongest of demons. Sex is depicted very graphically, consisting exclusively of explicit monster rape scenes with only a bit of masturbation thrown in. Aside from their gigantic penises, the monsters use their horns, tongues, and just about any anatomical part which can be inserted into the girls' orifices. If you're into this kind of thing, you'll surely have a ball with Twin Dolls. Twin Dolls had a lot of potential, with its Ayashi no Ceres-esque background story and nicely rendered visuals. That potential is not realized though, and I'd recommend Twin Dolls only if: a. you can get over its repetitveness; and b. you like watching monsters ravage innocuous young schoolgirls. It is a somewhat above average effort at hentai though. Miscellanies: Screenshots: Shopping - click on title to purchase: - Out of Print
