Animetric.com is SOLD. Dear Everyone, Animetric.com is an anime review site that I started back in 1999, at the height of my Sailormoon Fandom. It was known as Anime Addiction then. I made up the name animetric while listening to Hikaru Utada's song "Automatic". I put together the word anime and automatic and came up with Animetric. I registered the domain in the year 2000. Through the years I watched anime, read manga, and played bishoujo games. I reviewed what I watched. Some of you agreed and some of you disagreed with my views. It was all good. I thought I would be doing this forever. I even told my husband I would never grow tired of anime. It's the year 2007 now. I've been married for almost eight years and I have a 6-year old son and a 2-year old daughter. I've been to Japan twice -- visited the Ghibli Museum, Tokyo Anime Center, etc... I feel I've taken my anime fandom to its greatest height. These days I can no longer watch anime, the passion just isn't there. I also can't bring myself to play bishoujo games, and I blame the tedious Doushin for being the straw that broke the camel's back! Hentai anime? Please. You've seen one, you've seen them all. I guess I've seen one too many hentai flicks, and played one too many bishoujo games... the fact of the matter is, I can't do it anymore. I haven't updated in more than a quarter and if I continue on like this, animetric.com is going to die. And so I posted the FOR SALE sign. Maybe my interests and priorities have shifted. Can't really complain though because the ride was fun while it lasted. Animetric brought me a lot more than just a bit of extra cash... there was also more than a mere 15 minutes of fame in the online anime circuit, and I even got quoted in several R1 anime DVD covers, boxes, and stores. In fact, looking at the appraised value of my domain animetric.com at http://www.leapfish.com shocked the socks out of me. I had somehow proved to myself I could make something out of nothing, and I am ready to move on. Thank you so much to all of you who have visited my site through the years. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Animetric.com's new owner Aaron Murphy. I truly believe animetric.com is in good hands with Aaron (which is why I accepted his offer among several others), and that he will continue the work I've started. I hope you will also support him as much as you have supported me. I guess this is goodbye for now. Rowena Lim Lei
