Synopsis:
Idol star Kaori Shiine is talented, pretty, and popular. But what her fans don't know is that she's not exactly a normal girl... because Kaori is a hermaphrodite! Can she keep her secret and remain at the height of stardom?

Review:
Parade Parade is all about an up and coming pop singer named Kaori Shiine. Kaori is catapulted to the height of stardom after being discovered by her manager Yuko. The problem is, Kaori isn't really a regular girl after all -- because she is endowed with both male and female genitalia. Now Kaori has no intention of letting anyone else but Yuko know about this, and so she makes it a point to be very careful with the people she deals with. However, a rival singer chances upon Kaori's secret and threatens to make it public unless both Kaori and Yuko cater to her whims.

Parade Parade has a very simple plot that's little more than an excuse to show some hot-blooded young women go at it. Whenever Kaori and Yuko are together, you can expect a lot of sex -- especially since Kaori not only has both male and female sexual characteristics, but also the insatiable libido to go with her uh, parts. More sexual action ensues when they encounter Kaori's rival singer. To a certain extent Parade Parade depicts the Japanese music industry in a negative and unflattering light, making it seem scary to even dream of being a singer.

The lackluster art and animation are average at best. Scenes are rendered dully, and I was fooled by the attractively drawn video covers scattered on the net (see title graphic above). Believe me, Kaori in the video looks nowhere as cute as that image above, and the other characters look even less pretty... albeit I wouldn't go as far as describe them as ugly. Sex is depicted graphically, showing all the body parts in their full uncensored glory. Most of the sexual scenes occur between women, save for a few flashback scenes with some non-descript pigs men.

Parade Parade is overall a run-of-the-mill hentai title among the multitude of run-of-the-mill hentai titles. It doesn't have too much to offer in terms of plot or eye candy, and I'd only tell you to watch it if you want nothing but girl-to-girl action.

Miscellanies:
Parade Parade is made up of two volumes, both of which are included in the DVD release. Yuko resembles another hentai character, namely Noriko Yoshifuku of the out-of-print title "Fourplay".
