Reviewer: Rowena Lim Lei Synopsis: Review: An accident causes Kyosuke's psychic abilities to go haywire, which distorts the timelines, therefore distorting his life. The pacing is much better compared the original Kimagure Orange Road. There are sexual situations but they are handled tactfully and nothing really explicit is shown. Hikaru improves a lot, both physically and personality-wise. Having accomplished much on her own, she is now more mature and a bit sophisticated. The art and animation have been updated. Gone is the dated look of the old Kimagure Orange Road. I prefer the way everyone looks now. The English dubbing doesn't work for me. Kyosuke's voice and manner of speaking are annoying. The other characters are more tolerable but I feel they really could've done a better job. Summer's Beginning ties up the whole Kimagure Orange Road series neatly. It even gives us a glimpse of how things are a few years into the future. This is an excellent, non-frustrating epilogue to the classic love triangle.
