Reviewer: Rowena Lim Lei (2.5.2002) Synopsis: Review: Baron Jeek is a skilled fighter with great powers. Because of him, the Brastica clan has never succeeded in its attempts to conquer Crossland. And so Count Desleen comes up with a plan to destroy Baron Jeek, which involves getting Jeek to join the fighting tournament that Desleen will be hosting. Joining Jeek are two other characters: Polaline, the widowed courtesan who's infatuated with him; and a young boy whose name escapes me, who's Jeek's loyal assistant. I find it strange that Jeek would readily accept Desleen's invitation, given their not-so-friendly history. Legend of Reyon is all about Jeek's participation in the tournament, and Desleen's plan to get rid of Jeek. Everything about Legend of Reyon is forgettable and clichéd -- from the plot to the characters. Geek... uh, I mean Jeek, is the usual sword-wielding hero, Polaline is the usual blonde ditz, Jeek's assistant is the usual sidekick, and Desleen is the usual villain. There are also several other supporting characters, but they don't really do anything that make them worth mentioning. The art and animation range from average to somewhat below average. There are times when Baron Jeek looks rather handsome, and times when some of the girls look almost pretty. With regards to sexual content, Legend of Reyon has only two sex scenes, and both don't show too much detail. The most you'll see are boobs and butts, as the lower extremities are always hidden from view. With its mediocre visuals and general dullness, I can't really recommend Legend of Reyon to anyone. Hell, even after watching the whole thing, I had no idea who or what Reyon is! For something along these lines, I'd I suggest going for "Tournament of the Gods" instead. The two titles share some similarities, but Tournament of the Gods is far better done in all aspects. Miscellanies: Screenshots: Shopping - click on title to purchase:
