This seems to be for posts written prior to the upgrade. At reading M's post above I decided to go check my spoiler-tagged safe romance titles post as well, and saw the tags weren't working for my post as well. M's already fixed his with and edit, and I was able to fix mine the same way (and improve my wording of something in the same post while I was at it).

Spoiler
This is just to test the spoil button for new posts.

As you can see here, the spoil button is fine for new posts. It's just, as I've said already, this is an issue for posts written prior to the upgrade. I'll go back and check all the ones I'm sure I've done to make sure they're okay, and since I can fix them with an edit on my end, I will. Just think you should know.

Edit: Found all the ones I can think of off the top of my head, but saw one Arron wrote in the anime watching now thread about Herlock: Endless Odyssey that needs fixing. (You were responding to my asking you about it, I think, and needed to use the spoil tags in the post.) Can't fix it because I'm not a mod, but I just thought I'd say something. Point out it's not just Mmsven and myself this is happening to, if you will.

I knew that before. I never said it applied to new posts.

Ugh, spoiler tags were hit with the same damn problem as the youtube tags. Since they were a mod addition, they didn't translate over to phpbb3.

It is easy to correct them, you just have to hit edit and submit, as the current tags match up with the BBCode I created for the spoiler tags. I'll search for all the posts with spoil in them and get this updated so everything is re-spoilerized. If you know of any posts you made using spoiler tags, you could do the same, but I should be able to get to them all pretty quick so don't feel obligated.

At least I didn't discover this by reading a spoiler I didn't know about. I will only read new posts for now.

Indeed, everyone should be careful and watch for [spoil] tags since, until I get to them, are not covering up such information.

Yeah, if I spot any of mine I might need to fix, I'll get right it.

Never said ya did. I just wanted to be clear what the issue was.

Ok, I just went through all the posts with the word spoil in them and updated them all so the spoiler tags should be up on almost every post. One or two may have slipped through the cracks, so if you spot one just report the post to me. We even have a button for that now :) Or you can always just PM me or post it here, whatever floats your boat.

Wow. This new version is quite spiffy looking if ya ask me. You've mentioned there some things that you need to fix and some of the functions are disabled, but that's OK.

Yes, things look quite good. From what I've seen kinks haven't been many or overly :vomit: -worthy, either. The ones I've known about haven't seemed hard to fix, either.

Yes, thankfully we weren't hit with anything overly crazy. I believe the youtube tags are the last piece that needs to be fixed, so when I get up tomorrow I will start editing all those like I did for the spoiler tags. I'm also looking at adding back in the quick reply feature, as soon as I feel up to tackling the install. Sadly they don't seem to have a last post mod yet (the one where the last post area will actually take you to the last post in that area, not just to the persons profile) so I will be keeping an eye open for that.

Btw, what's with all the Goggole, Yahoo, and MSN bots being counted as registered users?

I've no idea. It may have something to do with bots being classified as registered users so if the forum was closed (as in unreadable to non-members), the bots could still correctly index the posts and such. There may be another reason entirely, but that's the best I've got :|

Well thank you! Glad to hear the recent changes have been well received overall!

Some of you may have noticed that I installed a Quick Reply area yesterday, and quickly removed it. It was way too large, taking up about half the screen if you wanted to view the whole thing. So I am going to try and install a smaller quick reply version, or wait for "Evil Quick Reply" to release a version for PHPBB 3.0.1, since it allows you to expand it out using a quick reply button, so if you don't want to use it, it isn't always there. That should be coming out pretty soon as well.

Who needs "Quick Reply" anyway?
Saves you one tiny click.
