My previous comment was not in relation to 42317's restaurant fiasco, which was somewhat of a culmination of unfortunate circumstances, they were just in general in relation to the shirt/Rightstuf discussion, little things that go wrong, like a bad meal or being mailed the wrong item, the item breaking, or something not that big of a deal. I am not saying there aren't circumstance in which a one time visit/use can't or shouldn't make you never want to buy from or go to a place again. If I were 42317, I would not be going back to that restaurant until it changes owners. If I eat at a place and I get salmonella, I won't be eating there again, or at least for a number of years. It's in relation to the magnitude of the event that determines ones actions after that point. I just, respectfully, disagree with 42317 on the shirt issue in that I don't think it is a big enough of a problem to not buy different products from Rightstuf again, that's all.

I think I mis-worded my last post, and edited accordingly. I only meant that in the restaurant example I'd have felt the same, and that it was a much more extreme situation than my own empty DVD-case issue. I think your right about something like the DVD-case issue and 42317's t-shirt thing aren't big enough issues not to deal with RightStuf again when they've got something I'd like to order. I'm just saying 42317's restaurant thing is a totally different thing. Opposite end of the spectrum on this topic if you will.

Ha, I ordered an Xbox live headset over a week ago. I order it 11 days ago and I was told it would be here at the latest two days ago. Sucks a lot but I wasn't really mad.

Then, I open it and find out that the headset is there but the adapter that goes into the controller is not. I started to think maybe it was not included in the order. I go back online and see that is was included in the writeup and in the pictures.

Sent an email to the company who I got through Amazon.com. I don't blame amazon, I blame the company, but maybe there was a mishap and it will get settled soon. Too bad I will be at home and it will not matter seeing as I don't have Xbox at the house. :(

Kinda thought this had to do with the topic.

I still haven't recieved my orders and they arn't responding to my claims, it's been 4-5 days since I set them. I have the feeling they just want to steal my money. This has to be the worst first impression in the history of online shopping. May I ask, why does it have to be me? This is just like when I went to compusmart for the first time and bought Half-Life 2 GOTY and there was no cd-key (they said it was a 1 in a million chance)... except this situation is worse.

I must just be the most unlucky person in the universe, because I've had bad luck all my life.

Well, worse comes to worse, you can always get a crew together, sneak across the border, go to rightstuff's distribution area (I think they still only have one warehouse) and clean the place out and rough up some executives, then sneak back home....

 dear god, I should really get to sleep.

Did you call or send email? If you called you would probably have a better chance.

Well, they responded to it FINALLY. Now I'm pissed off. They said it can take up to 2 weeks to get my replacements READY for my lost claims. And the idiot who read my damage claim thought I requested a lost claim and responded with

" I am unable to file a claim for this order at this time. For our
international customers, the timeframe is 45 days as it does sometimes
take longer for packages to go through customs and reach their final
destination.

If you have not received this package by December 29, 2007 then please
re-fill out the claim statement and send it to me. I apologize for the
inconvenience. "

I'm going to have to file the DAMAGE CLAIM AGAIN. Which will take them another week to respond to. I wonder if I'm going to get my stuff before the end of 2008?

Man that does really suck.
I know they had some kind of issues with the ice storm and whatnot.
But it does sounds like they are screwing you around.

lol, the "blue pill" reference is saying that he needs to take Viagra

Viagra seemingly comes in the form of blue pills... I happen to know that because now and then I read spam mails. Some advertisers praise Viagra as "your blue miracle", i.e. "Dein blaues Wunder" in German which is a wordplay based on the color of the pills, and "blaues Wunder" is an idiomatic expression describing something that will make you stand in awe.

I just recieved some of my stuff from AnimeNation. Didn't have to pay customs, everything is in perfect condition, it came on time, etc. I think I will continue ordering from them. Rightstuf, on the other hand, can suck my nuts.

One of the reasons why I pretty much only buy my anime from Amazon.com or from local retailers.

P.S: Yes I edited the title slightly since I don't think we need to start off a thread with a uncensored f-bomb.

Mmsven,

Well hey, as long as you find someone that works well for ya. Glad to hear you didn't have any problems with AnimeNation.

Have you ever tried ordering from Amazon? They often have pretty good deals on anime and I've never had a problem with their shipping. Not to mention Amazon has a UK site.

I've tried Amazon.ca. In fact I just recieved something from them. The worst part about them is that they don't have any good deals on anime at all. Only the American site has good deals.

Oops, for some reason I confused you with someone from another forum (who's from the UK).

I take back my comments on Amazon.ca. My Innocence dvd was garbage. Not only does the R1 release have no dub, but they gave me the version with CAPTIONS ONLY. Weren't these stupid things recalled? And the cases plastic protection is all lumpy and messed up. Although I guess this is Dreamworks and Go Fish Pictures fault for being so damn ignorant.

I'm seriously considering just going back to downloading every anime I want, because this is just ridiculous.
