Do you already know about any differences between the first and the new series?
To be honest I do not. But from the looks of it I'm expecting quality animation and a storyline that stays true to the manga and goes on. They could easily make Berserk the best anime series of all time. I'm sure it would sell.

Did the first anime deviate from the original manga?

Not really, the outcome at the end of the anime is the same as the manga in that arc, however it did omitted parts of the storyline that were darker and would be needed for a second season.

Besides changing characters like Puck for some random girl...and adding a lot of battles which weren't part of the manga...it stays true to the storyline..ha but its all about the guts and blood so lets see

I think the house fly in "Maya the Bee" is also named Puck... at least in the German version.
What kind of character is it in Berserk?

Puck started as Gut's unwanted sidekick and turned out later into a comic relief character, not that anyone minds. He really helps to balance some of the darker moments.

Looks like an escapee from "Bondage Fairies". :P2:

Haha, I didn't even think about it and copy and pasted "Bondage Fairies" on google, I wasn't expecting those results.
Berserk does have some scenes reminiscent of those, but Puck and the other fairies in Berserk are pretty much the purest of all creatures in the story, so there is no fairy "bondage" (now I know what it means) in the manga. :D

Haa... I'm sure these keywords give you the wildest results. Just in case you should rather have researched "Bondage Fairies" on ANN to get what I really meant. :D

Looks like it'll be good. The massive amount of CG looks funky, but I'm sure it'll take 10 minutes to get used to it.

I just hope they don't make us wait too long in between each movie...and lets see how closer this is to the manga compared to the series :gatsu:

New 3D trailer,http://ch.yahoo.co.jp/warnerbros/index.php?itemid=217

This is someonelse's translation:

Screen: Over 30 million comic books sold worldwide.
The dark fantasy masterpiece that captivated the world
<The Saga Project gets underway> The movie adaptation of the entire series
The man who only believed in the sword
Griffith: I am Griffith. Your name?
Guts: Guts.
Screen: met with the hawk that sought the heavens.
Caska: You abandon your allies to go right up against the enemy?
Griffith: Won't you come with me?
Screen: The fated two meet.
Griffith: I will obtain my own kingdom.
The pulse of fate begin to beat.
Griffith: I'll decide where you die.
Caska: What do you think you're doing?
You act on your own and you could expose the Band of the Hawk to danger!
You haven't changed at all.
You're happy as long as you get to wave your sword around the battlefield!
Guts: You're wrong!
I'm not who I used to be.
Screen: They decided to fight together with their comrades.
Zodd: Death will visit you.
Absolutely unavoidable death!
Screen: No one can sever our bonds.
Griffith: You will fight for my sake.
Because... you belong to me.
Gackt: On the path to the deepening of those bonds
the footprints of destruction grow closer.
Screen: Among the killing, there was "youth".

I'm not liking the 3d much, it looks cheap, the fights leave a lot to be desired too, and Griffith's voice is in my opinion not very Griffith-like. The rest seems pretty awesome.

Location: Tokyo, you're due for another attack from Yours Truly!
The trailer looks pretty cool and looks very promising. I do agree that the 3D animation looks a tad crappy, but I'm sure the finished product will be much better.
