------------------------------------ THIRD ROUND----------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gungrave ED "Akaneiroga Moerutoki"

------------------------------------------VS-----------------------------------------------

Wolf’s Rain ED "Gravity"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akaneiro ga Moeru toki is a song by Scoobie do, a Japanese funk band that also has some really good rocking pieces such as this one. They are known for their funky sound, and also for having an afro-styled drummer!! They are definitely one of the best bands to come from Japan, in my book at least.

--------------------------------------------------------
Gravity , is a song by Maaya Sakamoto, a Japanese singer, composer, actress, and seiyuu. Her work can be found in countless renowned anime series, as a voice actress and providing songs for the OP or ED themes. She has worked with Yoko Kanno many times which allowed one of her songs, "Yakusoku wa Iranai", become the OP for the successful Vision of Escaflowne, where she provided the voice for the main character. After that her career took off.

Gravity is a very beautiful song, Maaya Sakamoto's voice is quite angelical.
However, I prefer Scoobie Do's Akaneiro ga moeru toki. I find everything about the song really awesome, the bass line, the violin, the guitar, everything.
And the animated sequence is one of the most memorable I've seen.

This was actually harder than i thought. I figured the funk rock of the first would keep me from voting for the melodic vocal and piano arrangement of "Gravity" which some might find a little boring by this point but it was those qualities that actually kept me from going for Gungrave and giving my support to Maaya Sakamoto. The animated sequence of the wolf racing into the night and the full moon in the background was also a nice touch.

BTW, this is ROUND #7, learn to keep count, wolfwood my man! :P2:

It's actually third round G-core, but you are right it should be match #7. I actually copied the tittle subject from the previous match and changed it for this one, but forgot to change the match number. It's fixed now.
