I don't think Gravure should be in the Hentai section, like the AV stuff... it's also not "live action", in the sense that we're talking about pictures. But this section comes closest imho.

Since I have collected several gigs over the past few years I might post a picture or two now and then. Furthermore I will not be posting outrageous stuff. Just stuff that caught my eye, although I might not really know myself why.

An interesting aspect of this kinda fandom is the change that you can see.
Niimi Nanako has changed for sure during these last five years.

I've mentioned something like this is the "Gravure Idol Videos" thread, concerning Koike Rina, but I thought it might be better to distinguish between videos and pictures after all.
After watching a number of videos I found that most of them are really boring, no matter how well I like the appearance of the model. The background music is usually horrible (somewhat like elevator music) and eventually it's not much more than putting a video camera next to the still camera, offering a number of so-called "off shots" with some rambling or joking. Nice but unnecessary. The photographs are of better quality and resolution, and the video is actually only an add-on. The only potentially interesting thing about the videos are the interviews they offer now and then.

Some other pics I found... from China, btw... and I'd say they're involuntarily funny.

Of course, Vaseline is a multipurpose product with a broad array of uses, you can treat everything with it that's on the outside of your body and you can even use it to conserve the rubber gaskets of your car, but I dare say it's most famous as a lubricant for intimate opportunities, so...

I'm not even gonna touch on the Vaseline subject. We all know how useful that product goes in prison...

On with the show, this particular inside pose of Eiko Koike definitely caught my eye. Girl definitely can work a good pose and the wardrobe has it's own office girl tinge to it. Very G! :booyah:

the real original vaseline in a tub is gross...

never used vaseline for aiding in the deed, there are way better products, like "oh my"'

do we? i just thought they would dry run it... nasty. rape is a power thing so i doubt they care if it hurts the victim. but what do i know, i have not been incarcerated.

I haven't been to jail neither, my knowledge of Vaseline as a sexual lubricant merely comes from what i've heard from hip hop music. Go figure.

The shirt she was wearing just reminded me of an office woman the first time i saw it so once again it's probably my perception of what an office lady would look like if she lost a few articles of clothing.

For some reason, imho, ABK48 comes across more natural and thus sympathetic than Morning Musume. I can't put my finger on it but I like AKB 48 better, in terms of image and music, although I still find groups with so many people active at the same time somewhat awkward.

Short hotpot of clips:

do you guys find that many of these models are "average"? and perhaps that is why there is an attraction? when i was in asia i met quite a few who could easily have done gravure.

i even sent a couple images to friends asking if it was her, even though i knew it was not. sometimes they would be in shock seeing it. haha.

I think i'm starting to see your point, 42317, about photos being way better than videos when it comes to gravure. Please forgive my boredom that caught up to me around the five minute mark even though i watched the whole thing. :P2: The girls were attractive indeed, though it would be more effective preserving the moment in picture form, especially with those little smiles. :wuv:

I, too, have met a number of young women from Asia in Japan who looked good enough to be models. I rarely have that thought back in central Europe. But that may be due to Asians' exoticism bonus and due to European women being the most normal thing, respectively, from my geographic point of view.

That's okay, of course. It was not supposed to be anything flashy, it was meant to give an impression about what I meant when I spoke about AKB's "image and music", so you'd know what I was talking about.

I dig Mina Fukui's hairstyle in this one. Goes really well with the skin color suit.
