Really good I say. As a former Shadowrunner I recommend this series. 8)

Mezzo DSA is a direct continuation/sequel of Mezzo Forte - just without the sex. And that's a good thing. It's about the members of the "Danger Service Agency" and their attempts at making a living. They are mercenaries, guns for hire - except that they do not do assassinations.

Kurokawa is a middle-aged ex-cop and the "company's" representative. He uses his experience and connections to find customers and make profitable deals. He also has a habit of speaking strangely and drives a conspicuous car, a pink Volkswagen.
Harada is a technician in his early twenties, a specialist in building love-droids, androids with a basic AI for sexual services. These androids can also self-destruct if deemed necessary. Whereas Kurokawa likes a conspicuous car, Harada sports not only a conspicuous haircut (spikey blond) but also a flashy tattoo, literally, a blue flash across his right eye.
Mikura is the trio's under-aged and pink-hair-twintailed muscle, a handgun and melee prodigy. She likes conspicuous clothing: Her orange, leotard-like body together with these green kneesocks and yellow boots can be a real eyesore if you think about it for too long.

Along the 13 episodes the trio experiences a number of adventures until they themselves become targets during the last episodes.
The approach is light-hearted but there's blood and death and serious topics. The only thing I have to critisize is the paranormal stuff, when ghosts or aliens appear. I would have preferred a more realistic line. But still it's never boring and always entertaining.

The graphic quality does by far not reach the standard of the Mezzo Forte OVA. Thus, when they recycle a couple of scenes in one episode it looks rather out of place. I can live with that, but some people will find it distracting.

The soundtrack is really nice and the voice cast is pretty good, considering that it is basically a hentai cast the Seiyû of which do not have the longest portfolios. But Kotani Tomoko does a great job voicing Mikura and I am very content, enjoying especially her laugh. Well, Asami (Matsuki Miyu) on the other hand is a let-down with her overly aspirated voice, but I forgive the director because Kurokawa speaks so funnily. The translators must have had a hard time with his dialogue lines.

The alien stuff was so damn goofy. I was like, oh god what have they done?!!

But ignoring the goofiest of the goofy that happens, it was rather enjoyable anyway. You get more of the zany cast and learn about their pasts and have more adventures. Although there wasn't quite an epic a villain as back in the OVA, it still makes for an entertaining watch.

Their approach to the paranormal is so melodramatic, retarded, and shallow that I couldn't watch any farther.
