Hi all.

(Fresno dropped me a line on MSN, informing me that the forums have been back for a while.)

Old timers may remember me. Can't say I watch a lot of anime these days, but it's good to see the old guys still keeping up the habit. Not in a narcotic sense, of course.

Hey coosh, welcome back to the forum! It's always nice to see another old timer around :D

So what are you doing with your time now that you're no longer addicted to anime? (Anime is a hell of a drug )

Hi Acmurphy.

I'm doing nothing much now, really. Taking a breather to reacquaint with the simpler sides of life. Lots of things have happened since I last stopped posting in the forums. So far I've served my time in the armed forces, dropped in and out of university, dabbled a miniscule bit in the domestic film and media industry during my time as a partner of a production house. Bit of a whirlwind, really.

You poor soul. :crap: Hopefully you decided that the film industry is a horrible place and have learned your lesson never to return to it again. :P

Welcome back Coosh! Long time no see. 8)

Hi coosh! It's so good to have old people back.
I hope your military service left you whole and sane.

I would be richer than you, but let's talk again once his post ratio is at least 1/d and he reached 100. :D
Like, Cypher, Cjed, and Digital Masta have yet to do more than just say "Hi, I'm still alive!" :(

I guess that makes us the official Animetric recruiters :gatsu:

But thats true...a lot of the old members come back and only post like once a week...if they even do after their introduction (and they were such heavy posters back than too)

They must all have the same virus affecting their fingers :lol2:

Come on, I'm not that geriatic. The army was pretty fun, although I nearly lost me kneecaps in there. :x

As for the grey matter in my head, I've had no problems so far since the last happy hour lobotomy. But that's just for now.

Geez, 42317 and Fresno should have scoreboards to keep track of your re-recruitment campaigns in your sigs. Would be nice to see some friendly rivalry amongst you two. Just remember to keep the gloves on.

The boards do seem a little quiet, though it's nice to see some new faces around. The good old days of habitual spammers are finally coming back to me now...

Older threads do still get bumped by spambots, now and again. Ac's just on top of it enough that much of the time I only notice because the bumps count for the "Notify me when a reply is posted" email I like leaving checked to keep track of where I've posted.

Welcome back, coosh!

Actually spamming has been officially outlawed by our sheriff Acmurphy. 8) see topic below. :D

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=713&start=10

Edit: ACM: URL updated to direct to the start of the posts concerning spam, of which there are really only those top 3 in that thread.

I wasn't thinking of anything funny actually... there's lots of talk about PTSD and its dire consequences these days.
Of course I dunno what kinda job you did, or what you saw. I was more going into that direction.

No sweat bro. From where I come from it's a conscript force, and that part about the kneecaps dropped me in a support role. Plus the fact that's it's more of a deterrent army meant that we never got to see much action. In half seriousness, there were some things we saw that we will never want to talk about. Pity I had to leave though. Had quite a bit of fun and job satisfaction in there.

AMDS - It's Nanyang Technological University. Found the place too straight laced and stifling. But to each his own, really. Tertiary education works for some and not for others, I guess.
