Well, I am a Monty Python fan in a sense. I really enjoyed Holy Grail, but that is sadly the only one I have seen. Any recommendations?

I'd say Holy Grail. Life of Brian isn't as funny. It has a handful of memorable gags, but Holy Grail has better ones.
"And Sir Robin ran away".

Holy Grail. I love the film, but I might love the stage version (Spamalot) even better!

Though, "The Meaning of Life" was pretty damn funny. :D

It's funny that the holy grail is the only python film i havent seen. will have to get my friend to lend me her copy someday.

personally I am somewhat of a fan but i prefer the scetches they did, dead parrot and the lumberjack spring to mind instantly.
as it is though i found them to be a bit too far fetched at times and im more of a fan of stand up comedy, so when i look back at comedy greats i think of Dave Allen.

hmm, spamalot's great, but i reckon that you're right that Holy Grail is better. still, life of Brian is good, even if it's just for the "Biggus Dickus" argument.... :P

I have to give my vote to the Holy Grail, too. That movie is just legendary. It was still pretty cool, though, that we actually watched The Life of Brian in a film class I took last spring.

We watched that movie, too, in an English lesson, back in... 1996 I think.
Our teacher was very engaged in improving our listening comprehension, so we watched "The Life of Brian" and "Bad Boys" along with a few episodes of "Dexter's Lab", and got to hear lots of news about Clinton's affairs (Whitewater and Lewinski) and the OJ Simpson trial.
