for old Windows games I've found Bochs to work well.

Would someone care to explain to me how that "Bochs" piece of crap works?
From the menues I can't even conclude how to open a file...

Oh my god, he's playing "Maid's Story", I haven't noticed that link yet.
BRS I had written a review about how horrible I found that game.

Here's a whole bunch of steps that should get Windows 98 up and working in Bochs.

First, install Bochs outside Program Files folder specially on Vista due to UAC.
Then, create an image with the Image Creation Tool, whatever size you want, atleast 1GB?. Don't close the window yet!
Go to here and pick one of the images under "Non-Windows Based Image Files W/ImageApp".
Extract the floppy image to the Bochs root folder.
Open bochsrc-sample.txt and start reading it. During image creation, the program showed a line at the end which you need to copy paste here, just find the right spot.
Add your floppy image to the floppy section.
Add your Windows 98, either image or cd drive in the same section as the hdd.
Then just go through the rest of the file and check it out. Make the boot order floppy, hdd, cdrom

Save the file as bochsrc. No extension.

Start Bochs and it should find bochsrc and recommend 6 which is Begin Simulation.
The bootdisk will start and you can then create a partition on the hd image you created and also format it.
After formatting you can select the cdrom, which atleast on the DOS 6.22 image selects R:.
Then just start installing Windows 98.

After you succesfully install it, edit bochsrc to remove the bootdisk image from there. And after Windows 98 is fully installed you can also remove it too.

After all this you can go creating additional hdd images if you run out of space. And the easiest way of transporting files I've found is for example use Nero to create a cdrom image and attach it like described in bochsrc and copying the files from the cdrom to a hd.

That should get Bochs working.

PS3:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Heavenly Sword - too short. Don't waste your $$ buying it. Rent it if you can.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
Skate
Folklore - Somewhat stupid. Rent only.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit
Soul Calibur 4
The Godfather: The Don's Edition
Call of Duty 3 - rocked!
Battlefield: Bad Company
Need for Speed Carbon
Devil May Cry 4 - A Must own. Lots of action - somewhat short but not as short as Heavenly Sword. Heavenly Sword ran me like 4 hours maybe 5.
The Bourne Conspiracy

PS2:
Final Fantasy XII - very good in my opinion. Took me a good 48+ hours to beat it.
Shadow Hearts Trilogy
ICO
Beyond Good & Evil - VERY good. Not too much in the action department though if thats what your looking for. Mostly stealth.
Fatal Frame Trilogy
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
.hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth - Owned it and loved it if your a .hack fan took me a good while to finish it. Worth the $$.
Viewtiful Joe
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria

PC:
Age of Mythology
Blood Omen 2
Call of Duty 2/4
Fable
Flatout 2
Worms Armageddon
Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines
Ultimate Spider-Man
Chaos Theory
Theif 3
Battlefront II
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
Penumbra
Indigo Prophecy
The Orange Box
The Chronicles of Riddick
No One Lives Forever trilogy
Prince of Persia trilogy - The prince of persia trilogy if amazing and logs a lot of hours. I own them for the PS2 and i would say they are worth every cent.
Swat 4 gold
GTA 4
Soul Reaver 2
The Longest Journey
Neverwinter Nights
FEAR
Clive Barker's Undying
Syberia
Company of Heroes
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Neverwinter Nights 2
Clive Barker's Jericho
Fallout 3
Silent Hill 3/4
Crysis Warhead
Project Origin
Dead Space

If anybody has any recommendations for games or warnings about the games above, that would be awesome.

Mmsven i put a couple warnings on some of your above games. We might not have the same taste in games but i mostly warned you about the length of some of them.

I am aware that it is short, but 4-5 hours? Whatever the circumstances, the demo impressed me, so I am going to buy it once it goes down in price to at least $30. A lot of the big ps3 releases are still $60 (including HS), but hopefully some of those go on the Greatest Hits catalog. I don't like renting.

Folklore - Somewhat stupid. Rent only.

I'm stupid as well so the game is perfect for me.

If I can ever find it. I have only ever seen the second volume, which I don't really want. Damn my lateness! DAMN IT!

I have only found Two Thrones so far. It cost me a massive $10 for a new copy. I have seen Warrior Within several times but never on the PC, and I've never seen the first game ever.
