I got one of those Visa Debit gift cards for my graduation present..it only had $25 on it so I bought Angelic Layer on RightStuff and paid for the Priority mail to use it up. I have heard good things of Angelic Layer and i can't wait to see it.

I bought a crapload of DVDs today. I haven't gotten much anime as I hoped to, but got a good amount of creature feature while I was at it! :D

Anime:
The Complete Boxset of Rune Soldier

Live-action:
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I bought it for my mother for Christmas, cuz she's a huge fan of the Indy movies)
Miracle (I bought it for my dad for Christmas, cuz well... he likes hockey.)
C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers)
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Alien vs. Predator: Requiem
Freddy vs. Jason
Pan's Labyrinth
The Fly (the 1986 version)

Batman Begins
Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal
Casino Royale
I, Robot (for my nephew)
Puppet Master (from iTunes)

Tour in this list are what's coming up for me the live action "Watching Now" thread at some point in the near future. I, Robot was one I got for my nephew. I had misread the offer (buy two $9.99 movies, get the third free), and ended up paying for Casino Royale because of it (at 14.99). Sis got me to go back and get the freebie, and that's how my nephew ends up with I, Robot. Kept Casino Royale because I've been wanting to see Daniel Craig as Bond ever since that first happened.

Full Moon Pictures put Puppet Master up on iTunes for $9.99. Haven't seen it, but I was kind of a fan of the Subspecies series, so I'm going with it. Probably watch that first, then the DVDs I was really after today...

I thought you were gonna say "... because my date pays for all of that stuff."

Now for something i just bought - i pre-ordered the Lord of the Rings: Conquest game..i downloaded the demo of the PS3 and it's really fun. Some of the special moves you can do cause massive damage.

Got what I wanted today: the trip to Fry's Electronics. Wanted that because it's such a pain to get out there. Reason why I like going out there now and again anyway is because I find stuff I'm not able to pick up elsewhere.

Naruto Uncut volume 3 and Tokyo Decadence are examples. For some reason I haven't seen this volume of Naruto Uncut on shelves in ages. It's always everything but volume 3. As for Tokyo Decadence...it's a film I rented in Seattle that I didn't even know was released on DVD till I saw it at Fry's today. (I suppose it could turn up in the foreign film section of a place like Suncoast, but I don't have such easy access to them either. Only reason I found the one at Fiesta Mall is still there is because of a rare occasion that I needed some work done on my mac...)

I've also been able to pick up Another Lady Innocent (Fry's also carries adult DVDs, including a row or two of hentai) and The Castle of Cagliostro (not because it's Lupin III, which is why it took me so long to be bothered, but because it's an early (if not the first) work of Hayao Miyazaki as writer/director.)

Also managed to get into Big Lots today, and picked up Van Helsing: The London Assignment for $3 (the same deal I got for Steamboy some time ago). Remember at least kind of liking Hugh Jackman's live action Van Helsing, and this a prequel with Jackman reprising the title role. (Wonder how he is as a voice actor...)

Recently purchased:

-Xbox 360 Arcade
-Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive
-Ouran High School Host Club Part 2 (R1 DVD)
-Familiar of Zero, a.k.a. Zero no Tsukaima (R1 DVD set)

Got the 360 Arcade because I knew it was a Jasper (one of only two that I found at Fry's) and the 120GB Hard Drive because I wanted to install more games onto the hard drive.

Hm... maybe you're just dating the wrong people.
Maybe social rules aren't as stiff in an all-female relationship. I find it downright perverse that everyone expects me, the male, to pay for the restaurant dinners that I have with my girlfriend. She doesn't earn less than me! :|
Well, we rarely eat out, so it doesn't bother me that much... but this gender-role principle is what you call sexist.
