I've heard many great things about Escaflowne on this site. I'm certainly looking forward in watching it and hope it's great.

"Escaflowne" is great, you'll see. The only thing I did not like was the can-opener-like noses. :lol:
Humor, action, and romance, and everything between earnest and fluffy, in a way.
The movie took the whole thing to a further stage by turning the cast into more bad-ass characters. I kinda liked that.
Congratulations on your bargain purchase btw. :wink:

All the reasons why that I purchased it and definitely looking forward to see it. Thanks. :D

Well I'm a big fan of Basilisk so that's probably a good series to start collecting! Though I would have receommended you just wait a little while for the Viridian box set being released soon. If you include the shipping costs for each dvd you're probably not saving yourself anything buying them individually and you're also getting them used. Though I know you don't care about them being used, but I always like to try and get sets in boxes myself.

Eh - the difference is about $4 depending on where i would have gotten the collection from. If i ordered the entire collection off amazon i saved myself $10 (yes i literally did do the math including shipping on purchasing each disk individually vs the entire collection). I am that cheap :clap: .

Edit: Purchased Basilisk DVD 2 after i paid off my bills. Cost me $4 total for a brand new factory sealed Basilisk dvd 2 with shipping.

Well now you're just trying to rub salt in the wound! :shame:

Got my Black Lagoon TSB Vol. 3, though it wasn't without its hassles. They didn't have it on the shelf, so I had to ask a guy about it, he went looking for it in the back for a couple minutes and then said it doesn't look like they have it in yet. So I go looking at PS3 games and about 2 minutes later up he walks with the DVD in hand. Which really made my day since I didn't want to have to drive back there another day to pick it up, that would have just been annoying!

I couldn't resist so i bought Story of Saiunkoku off Amazon. That cost me about $17 total with shipping, but it was so worth the money. It's a beautiful anime.

That's a very good movie imho. You just have to cope with the fact that the pacing is totally different from what you might be used from "Tenchi Muyô!" Anime, and that the artwork is - compared to older works - revolutionary different, unorthodox, sober in a way. Many Tenchi fans don't like it for these reasons.
Last but not least, the ending song is one of the finest pieces of Japanese Anime soundtrack I have ever heard.

I've noticed that and it looked different and it seemed to be more somber than the previous Tenchi series. I don't mind it as long as if it's going to be good. Plus I got it for ten bucks, so it's not too great of a loss if I end up not liking it.

Now you've mentioned it, I'm really looking forward to watch it! 8)

I finally got off my ass and bought Paprika on bluray, along with Stanley Kubrick's masterpieces The Shining and Clockwork Orange on bluray.

Holy cow, I never noticed that Stanley Kubrick directed The Shining too! :doh: Nice, those are 3 of the ~9 blu-ray discs I have :mrgreen: Paprika looks pretty dang good in high-def

I picked up both Lightning Warrior Raidy II: Temple of Desire and Princess Waltz the other day. Raidy II doesn't come out till next year, but as soon as they get Princess Waltz in stock it should be sent my way!

Oh, will you upload Pricess Waltz?! :lol2:

Oh, will you upload Pricess Waltz?! :lol2:

I know it's against your policy so I'm just teasing you. ;)

Though I already found some torrents on 7th but they were all paid-site ones, but I believe my chance will come up in a month or two to finally download this masterpiece! :D

Someone could buy Ever17... I'm near it's finish and... it's only getting better! :bow: My most sincere recomendations to this game! :gatsu:

Please forgive me if my post falls out of context or something. ;)

Haha, you should really try Ever17; it may be long - up to 50 hours BUT:

you might be satisfied to just get good endings - that will drop several hours of gameplay;
you might be satisfied to follow what FAQ tells you and don't explore all paths - that will drop several hours accordingly;
and ability to skip will drop even more hours of gameplay so it would be enough to devote ~30 hours of your life to this game.

I mean no insult, but you're a one lucky son of a bitch, Acmurphy, to own such a great game and have it lie somewhere in your drawers! :bow: I envy you! ;)
