The thread title says it all! The sequel to Ouendan releases in a little over a month (May 17th) and I couldn't be more excited. Ouendan was really the game that made me decide to purchase a DS and it's one of the few games that I really consider myself to have been addicted to. I've never been a huge fan of rhythm games before, but this one really brought a fresh, new style to the genre. It wasn't overly difficult (even a rhythm newbie like me was able to beat the game on Insane), but it was fun the entire time.

Of course, having a great tracklist is essential for any rhythm game. The first title had plenty of great songs, especially Shanhai Honey and READY STEADY GO. I'm not sure of what tracks will comprise the sequel, but I know that Shonen Heart is in it and that alone is reason enough for me to buy the game.

Did you ever play the U.S localized version of the game? It was called Elite Beat Agents, and it was actually pretty good. I've played both the Japanese version and the English version and I like the Japanese songs, but I like the style of tapping variations of the songs better in the English version.

It was funny though that the only song I knew from the Japanese version was Ready, Steady, Go. =P

I only played Elite Beat Agents a couple of times, never extensively. A friend of mine bought it, so I would play it occasionally whenever I was hanging out with her. Overall EBA was a better game from a design and mechanics standpoint, but the tracklist on it was just too terrible for me to consider a purchase, haha.

Edit: For some reason I can't get the Wiki link to work right with hypertext, so I will just post it below through TinyURL. It's just the Wikipedia article on the second game, which lists some of the tracks that have been confirmed thus far. I think Shonen Heart is the only one I am familiar with.
