Thats too bad. Playstation 1 & 2 are my favorite console systems. Its unfortunate the PS3 turned out to be such a debacle though. Hopefully it will continue to get better, but at this point I might be leaning more towards a 360, and I am not a Xbox fan.

No games and price is whats killing the PS3 right now, the price wouldn't be such a hassle if there were really good games... sure theres resistance, but the games i'm looking for are FF13 and MGS4 and RE5.

And by "retired" we really mean "forced to step down" correct? . . .

No actually he willfully retired my guess is he is taking credit so Sony as a company doesn't look bad because of poor PS3 sales.

That's the "official" story. However, considering Sony's situation with the PS3 and accusations of Kutaragi being "uncommunicative" it's a good guess that Ken didn't just "step down."

And besides, in the corporate world, usually people don't just "step down" suddenly unless they were fired.

Well it's a known fact, that Kutaragi and Stringer never got along. Maybe, this is the reason for his early retirement. Although, I think personally he has accomplished what he set out to do.. the man made Sony over 4 billion off of the Playstation name alone.

There's an article at 1up.com that talks about Kutaragi. I don't have the link, so you'll just have to search.
