Location: In the Tardis, off to who knows where in who knows when!
The goal:
Recommend me the best Movie/OVA/OAV/Short Series that you think I will like.

Run Time:
Due to the nature of this contest, the fact that I may have to watch quite a few things, and am running other such contests, I am setting a tentative date of June 15th, at 11:59pm eastern time as the end, but may need to change it some due to time constraints on my part.

Rules:
1) Only one entry per person will be allowed, so pick the best one you've got.
2) The Movie/OVA/OAV should either be a standalone feature or the beginning of a set of titles. I don't want you recommending me, as an example, Samurai X Reflection if I have not seen the series.
3) The max runtime is 300 minutes.
4) Only titles that I have not seen will be eligible for entry into the contest. Refer to my ANN titles list in my signature as a way to make sure I have not seen it, and to gauge what I like.
5) Hentai titles are not eligible for this contest, save it for the Best Hentai Title contests.
6) I will watch anything, except shonen-ai.

After I get through watching them all, I will chose a winner based on which title I liked the most.

The Prize:
The winner will receive: Fantastic Children the Complete Box Set!

I will contact the winner after the contest is over to get your address.

Good luck everyone!

Is Tokko allowed under these rules? It's my entry if it is. If not...I'm only out because I can't think of anything else that you haven't listed on ANN.

Edit: Actually... Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles looks like it should be the start of something (so far as I've seen of it anyway), and it's not in your ANN list. If Tokko isn't allowed, how about that?

Sure, why not! I went ahead and upped the runtime. I should have enough time to fit in a couple 13 episode series, so what the heck. (I own Tokko anyway, so that's easy enough :D)

Edit: lol, whichever you want

If Tokko's allowed that's my pick. I was just concerned that it might not be allowed. Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles is an alternative if it isn't.

Hmmm....This time I'm gonna stick to my guns and suggest "Lupin III: Farewell to Nostradamus (aka "Go to hell Nostradamus"). It's one of my favorite Lupin III films and has often been considered the best "True" Lupin III movie (a few fans say that Castle of Cagliostro wasn't a real Lupin III movie (I beg to differ, but whatever)).

As long as Lupin III: Farewell to Nostradamus is stand-alone and not series dependent that works! (I watched Castle of Cagliostro without having seen any of the series, so as long as it's along the same lines it should be fine)

Oh yeah, just like all the movies you don't need to have any prior information.

Guyver: Out of Control is good OVA if ya ask me. It's loosely based off of the first four chapters of the manga. It's violent, but yet it kicks major ass. Highly recommend it.

I choose the Goblin Cat arc of Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales. It doesn't have any relation to the other arcs, so can I do that?

If not, I choose Barefoot Gen.

Hmm, I'd rather just watch the whole thing, than check out a part of it. (I'm interested in seeing the series anyway, so I wouldn't want to watch just the one part.) So with that in mind, would you rather I do Barefoot Gen?

Whoops, sorry Fresno, that was in the last contest offered up by 42317 (And I forgot to add it to my list :() Please pick another title, if you would be so kind.

The other two arcs are weak in comparison. It definitely lowered my overall rating of it. If you can't watch that one arc, then just watch Mononoke instead. It includes Goblin Cat anyway.

I'm still going with Golden Boy. If you have that one I'll go with something else but the seriesi s hard to beat.
