The one story that I have is labelled "Toon Wars".
It starts off with a dialogue between Roger Rabbit and Sin Lee.

That's probably the book form of it (and actually some ways into it, around chapter 7 I think). It became a screenplay with a sequel which I wrote when I was 15.

The only prose I've ever written was a novel entitled "Tune In, Toon Out: The Untold Story of the Toons," and that still needs to be expanded from what it is now.

Damn it, with you around the next such contest will be a lot harder. :D

Actually, every writing competition, scholarship, or festival I've ever applied to with pieces of the novel (my only prose work) has rejected me, so I doubt I'd win any contest but a script contest (although even then the best I did was place).

I thought you meant 'The Animetric Story" which involves members of the boards on their little adventures, etc. I have to get back to the novel when I actually get out of college this summer... if they let me out, that is. :shifty:

BTW- Recalling the old boards, I remember we had a best anime contest and a best character contest. Do we still have those? :?

I'd give an arm and a leg to have those contests back... but nobody remembers how to set them up. There was a bunch of rules to get it going, you know, proposing characters, dividing them in subgroups, and so forth. If you remember any details please go ahead. I have only a vague memory of all this.

Of course I did not really mean that... but these competitions were really really cool.

Why am I "Mr. Fist", btw, and what is that to begin with?

Actually I don't. There is no whatsoever information that I could relate to me being called "Mr. Fist". :?:

It's a sort of a long shot, but you are hopefully not referring to Goethe's "Dr. Faust" who would sell his soul for worldly pleasures? I'd call that far-fetched. Please enlighten me.

Yeah. From what I can remember (i.e.-Spaz would remember this better) people would nominate characters they liked and the top 64 were chosen.

Those 64 characters were bracketed off into one on one single round elimination competitions with the most votes for a character leading to that character's victory. Hence 64 to 32, 32 to 16, etc until it was narrowed down to the crowned "Best Anime Character."

That's from what I can recall, though.

I believe every member could nominate five characters... or five male and five female characters...
Haha, there is about a dozen real contributers here, which means there never will be a "top 64".
Maybe it could be cut down to 32, given some luck 32 men and 32 women.

Please forgive my dullness. Translating his name kinda confused me.

Nobody says you need to propose new characters.
Sôsuke is still my number one proposal.
