I agree that the picture is pretty cool, but I wouldn't use it as a desktop wallpaper... it's too colorful and I want monochromatic areas so I can clearly see the icons.

What icons?! hahaha. Yea, I'd agree with you, but in my case I just don't have many icons on my desktop. I do tend to avoid way too colorful wallpapers, I'm more inclined to minimalistic wallpapers, but I couldn't resist this one :D

Being the Eva fan that i am, i was looking for something cool yet relaxing at the same time. Rei's pose is all right, and the blue green coloring helps give it a very calming feel to it. Nothing too extreme or you'll go crazy having to look at something you'll want to take out immediately.

The "Thank You" words on the right, if you know your Eva viewage, you'll know what it means.

The ObjectDock program and the Start menu bar setting of "hide automatically" will allow you to experience the true beauty of a wallpaper.

I have a capture of Maho Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, a pretty heartwarming hug between Nanoha and Fate.

My current one since the start of the new year:

The coloring helps relax me when i'm stressed so i'd say a good choice on my regard.

I've had this one as my wallpaper for almost two months now and once I'm back in college, I'm definitely gonna change it that's for sure.

Do you think there are cans with a Godzilla design? I must have one!
But the product line-up alone tells me I'm way out-of-date with my can collection. :crap:

Well, from what I've checked I haven't seen one that had the Godzilla design. Here's the site that I found the wallpaper from:

http://www.beverage.co.jp/fire/index.html

I haven't check every nook and cranny, but there might be a page in there that shows the Godzilla collector's can or something like that.

I must admit that seeing Motoko in her manga form has gotten me interested in tracking down the GitS manga and make that my debut into that particular form of reading entertainment! :D

I have always admired Kusanagi's personality as it appeared in the first Ghost in the Shell Movie, a pretty cool and self-confident, strong woman, therefore I am not much of a fan when it comes to the kind of outfit they gave her in Stand Alone Complex. It's the kind of "clothes" no sensible woman would wear in public, and any one who did so would immediately lose much if not all of her professional prestige and social reputation. :diss:

I have to get back some degree of personal mental control here, to be honest. This whole "getting bored of desktops after just 2 or 3 days" has to stop and i need something that will guarantee that i won't be going to the Wallpaper sites anytime soon. Hopefully, this one will do the job for me while i get my personal interests in check:

Yeah... I needed to change my wallpaper badly, so I did... twice.

My recommendation: get ObjectDock and set up the Start menu bar so that it hides automatically. ObjectDock allows you to keep all of your icons in a cool bar. You can set it in autohide and make it only appear when you drag your mouse to an extreme point of the screen (usually the up side, but you can change it). And if you do so, you'll have your wallpaper absolutely clean of icons. I'll add two examples now, one with the bars shown and one with the bars hidden.

Who needs a special program/application for that? You can set the bar to hide automatically with standard Windows alone.
