what is the biology makeup of these dragons that make their skin impervious to physical damage? i know we are talking about dragons but is that not a tad unrealistic? these are the same incredibly strong and heavy creatures which can still fly and breath fire without expending much energy.

are only dragons capable of magic in this fantasy world?

and this whole turn into a human thing. why the need to be a dragon then? just for power tripping?

The same biology makeup that makes Godzilla resistant to bullets and explosives, I guess. Dragons are magical creatures. They would break a lot of the rules that govern our world's reality. Creatures of their size would never be able to fly, let alone breathe fire.

Since we're assuming this is a magical dragon in our non-magical world, I assume that, yes, only dragons are capable of magic. Unless some other magical beings were to show up.

And yeah, I'd say the whole thing is just for power tripping.

And the virtual immortality. Can't argue with being able to live for thousands of years.

Actaully tenchincally Discover Channel did a show on dragons a little while ago. They said that if it had holo bones and a big enough wing span it was possible.

My favorite animal is the wolf. Yes me weird.

However if we're talking about phantasy creatures, my favorite is the Phantom Beast. Or the White Wolf of legend.

Here are some people who like dragons.
You might be interested in the following website:

Dragon Cave

A friend of mine is happily involved there, and what you do after creating an account is breed, hatch, raise, and exchange dragons of the strangest kind. I don't know much about it, if I got it right there is an intricate system of factors deciding on how well your offspring will develop. Surely interesting for dracophiles. :D

Hmm. These things depend so much on my mood.

My favorite living animals:
Snakes
Alligators
Cougars
Squirrels
Penguins

Favorite Extinct Animals
Megalodon
Saber-toothed tigers
Mastadons

Although, I must say, I considered adding the Dodo and the Trilobite to the list, but in all fairness, how much of my favorite could it be if I didn't think of it initially?

As for fantasy critters, dragons are pretty cool, but I'd rather be a Storm Giant- I've got a passion for electrical sparks. :lol2:

Megalodon

Oh hell yeah. :gatsu:
Carcharodon megalodon happens to be one of my favorite species of shark ever. Meg is like a great white shark that is about the size of a Greyhound bus and it preyed on whales for breakfast. They died out about 1 million years ago, just before modern humans appeared. Imagine if they're still alive.

On the side note, I would LOVE to have a Megalodon tooth for my fossil collection, but it seems that Meg teeth can be a bit pricey depending on the size and condition of the tooth so I may have to save up for one.

They would have been hunted and killed just for the fear they spread.
Wolfs for example are only slowly returning to Europe and bears are still not tolerated.

Living favorite... that's easy :P The Silver Fox. Still trying to find a tame one... but the reason I love foxes are the Japanese myths that surround them. Very cool.

As for mythical... the Worgen from World of Warcraft. It's what a werewolf should be. Don't see them done right in movies or games very often, so I make a point to give props when I see it done correctly.

The only extinct animal I can think of that would be cool to see today is the Sabertooth Tiger.
