Post pictures of your DVD/Anime/Manga collections here!

I understand that theres a thread for "Your Room", but thats a very broad topic. I thought we needed one exclusive to the collections.

I will have a picture of mine up at some point. It's currently not very big or worth showing.

Now I reveal my true colors >.> (leecher!)

My HUGE Original DVD collection:

http://www.daisuki.com.br/caio/anime_original.jpg

Where you will see (top left to to right) Fantastic Children Special Edition, Card Captor Sakura movie 2 (Brazilian version), The only Vampire Princess Miyu who got produced in Brazil (3 DVDs with half the series, I bought them all though they are so low quality I watched fansubs instead); than on the bottom Kurogane Communication boxed set, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (BR version), The cat returns (BR version), Hoshi no Koe, Crest of the stars boxed set, Seikai no Senki boxed set, Seikai no Senki II boxed set, and finally Azumanga Daioh Boxed set. The big books to the right are the (obviously original) complete Calvin and Hobbes collection

And now for the leecher site:

http://www.daisuki.com.br/caio/anime_fansub.jpg

I don't know the CD count (stopped indexing at 500+), but DVD is currently at 160. I added explanations in the image but more into that:

Above the shelves the CD tubes have old CDs which are now on DVD (migrating), but I felt like keeping them as backups. To the right some unsorted (or repeated because I bought the original DVD, the middle pile has Crest of the stars CDs) CDs waiting to be burned on DVD.

The left shelf, the first and second columns are DVDs, in the end of the second column and the third column sorted CDs. Third shelf starts again with DVDs, with a catch: everything I really like I burn twice because I don't trust these DVD's can hold a decade =p, so the first column on the second shelf is backup DVD's from the first shelf (you can see about half the size), the rest sorted CDs.

Then there is a 30+ pile on top of my CPU in "queue" for DVD burning

Queued PURCHACES: Twelve Kingdoms, Kaleido Star ... hmm actually whatever Amazon still has on stock and will discontinue soon xD

I'm surprised you actually put your CDs and DVDs in jewel cases. I just use CD wallets and this special aluminum case I got in China which holds 1000 CDs/DVDs.

Although illegal, I'm a collector. A CD inside wallet will not last 20 years =p

That's also why I have 2 copies of what I like.

I got some new stuff today. I think my collection is worth showing now. Please excuse the quality, my camera isn't very good.

Picture 1

On the top-left we have my live-action. Not too proud of that amount.
On the top-right we have my staples blank DVD cases, which I use to replace my frequent shitty cases. I also need to go buy some clear cases and double cases.
The rest is all anime.

Picture 2

^Closer-up of my anime.

I still plan on expanding my collection massively, especially in the live-action section. I plan on buying all my live-action in HD formats. I have to replace all my live-action VHS tapes, and my old Princess Mononoke VHS tape (I hate to admit it, but I got PM back when VHS was still popular).

If you are wondering what is in my collection and don't want to look at the crappy pictures, you can go hereinstead.

Uh shucks, I thought those were the porn DVDs the titles of which you preferred to hide. :D

I keep my porn in a hidden folder on my computer. I doubt anyone would think to enable hidden folders.

Anyone else going to post their collections?

First thing I do as soon as I format or use a computer =p "my computer" = "my files" = "nothing hidden"

Best way to hide something is right under their nose: create a folder "mediacache" inside "windows\system32" and stuff it there. People will NEVER open windows let alone system32 to look for files >D

Better yet, while if someone deletes a base folder even the hidden folders will get trashed (unless you use a root folder, which would be not so smart, would be the first to be seen if you disabled hidden files), nobody will never ever delete system32, not even windows xD~ (exceptions to formats / accidents, which would mean user folders would also not be safe anyway)

Hehe, somebody else with the same tactics as me, I see.

Yeah, hiding something in plain sight is the best way to go about it.

I'm the only person who uses my computer, so going that far is not necessary. I keep them in hidden folders for the occasional friend or parent that would go on it for whatever reason. My parents have their own computers.

Oh the naive  Parents sometimes troll on their child PC to see "what my son is into it?".

It's not like my wife will ever SEARCH for something weird on my PC, but "I rather be safe than sorry", see? =p

My parents never go on my computer without my permission, and I think they already know I watch porn.

You don't tell your wife that you're hoarding porn also?

I did tell my girlfriend that I have collected certain products, like 9 minute live action clips (which you legally get for free), or Hentai like Shûsaku, Kisaku and Isaku, I have Cool Devices, Angel of Darkness and other stuff. Of course it's not all that I am into, secretly, but by revealing some I make her stop asking further questions. It's far less suspicious than acting evasively or secretively about certain folders and files on my computer (because all my porn files are stripped of any name/label/title, they have a number and a code that roughly says what's in it).

In short, I'm neither hiding in the open, nor in complicated looking system folders, nor am I pretending to be an untainted angel of virtue. I admit such collections. By giving up one point of trust I gain two, thus I'm pretty safe. I think the situation might become really bad if I told her I had none of that stuff (or remained quiet about it) and then someday shit happens and she's shocked by one of the many manifestations of truth. :D

Ahh, but what if the stuff you have hidden away is so shocking and disgusting that most normal people would instantly revile your company if they knew you had it?

She "knows", but in her mind it's (A) an eventual title and (B) I don't store

so ... =p
