I dumbed a bunch of wilder flowers in mine to kill of the weeds, then planted bubls and put gardening plastic down. This equals next year zero effort garden. YEAH!

I wouldn't bet on that as long as your garden ist not enclosed, and I mean "airtight".
Weeds just come flying in, are delivered by animals, or, depending on the situation, just grow in from the neighbors.

That's why I planted wild flowers and daiseys. They come in so thick the weeds can't grow. Or at least in my expirience. They only I can't get rid of are thisels, but those aren't to hard to pull u when they're young.

You didn't say anything related to this thread's topic despite my recommendation.
What appropriate punishment shall we apply?
:D

Yeah I know, but everybody's using this thread to post about gardening. You and Zaxares started it 42317 so you have no right to complain.

My parents have been growing a lot of vegetables at their house and they've been bringing me a lot of it when they come visit every month. And since I don't eat vegetables (it's a policy of mine.) I end up with a lot of uneaten greens in my frig. The worst part is that I sometimes forget to check stuff and before you know it, there's some rotting cabbage and winter squash that I have to then throw out.

You don't eat vegetables?? I worry for your digestive system then.

My mom grows a couple of vegetables (tomatoes, some Chinese veges, chives and onions) and fruit trees (guavas, mangoes and one stubborn lemon tree that hasn't fruited in the 17 years I've lived in this house) in our garden.

Well I drink a lot of orange juice, eat plenty of fruit, so I still get my vitamins . . .

I suppose a Chinese person who doesn't like vegetables is pretty rare, but that's what I get for living in Texas I suppose . . . :P

Yeah ain't it great. Who knew we had so many people on here that liked Gardening?

See my family always prefered flowers to actually useful stuff. Well besides Marygolds, best anti masoito repelent out there. I grew a fondness for bulbs and wild flowers.

Grow peppermint in a pot or in a spot of your garden. It makes so much better tea than anything you can buy in a supermarket, a little plant starts it all while being inexpensive and it grows back like mad.
