Ah, so you wanted to say that you don't feel confident enough to actually give advice on questions asked in this thread.

Learning is good. The only better alternative is seeing the world.

What is "armchair modding"?
As opposed to what (kind of modding)?

It's supposed to be called backseat moderating. It means a user acts like a moderator.

I think.

Ya, I've never heard it quite put that way before, but I got Gojira he was saying. And as Mmsven said, it's basically a different way of saying backseat modding. A lot of places don't like it when non-mods make posts about something needing to be done. Rather than either just waiting for a mod to see it or contacting them about it privately.

Oh, so, uh, I do a lot of bad things as it seems, because I feel no shame saying it loud when I think something should be done. Sorry if I bothered someone.

lol, it's no problem. I don't care if you want to alert me to something or how you go about it. I mean ya, sometimes it isn't terribly necessary since I'll see it the next time I come on, but if you want to go for it.

Same here. In the forums that I go to, armchair modding would get you in trouble and I see users armchair mod from time to time. I almost got into trouble once for armchair modding with on of the mods, which he can be harsh at times, but I was lucky that didn't get dunced or banned for it. Since this is a smaller forum here and most of the mods are gone, someone has to tell when there's a problem that needs to be solved.

In fact, Animetric is so small that all the work can be easily done by the admin and a single mod. :D

Could someone explain the following sentence to me, please (from the FUNNY thread):

"A closed mouth gathers no foot."

What's that supposed to mean?
