Thanksgiving again... well, enjoy your turkey dinner and remember those natives without whom the Plymouth colony would have starved...

They thanked God for the food the Indians gave.

And in return, the Pilgrims gave the Indians blankets covered in smallpox. Gosh, that's just wrong. :sigh:

Happy Turkey Day to ya'll!

Happy thanksgiving to all of you!

I'd rather remember the point of Thanksgiving (being thankful for what ya got) than how the holiday first began (though how it began should be remembered too, even if just for it being a part of American history...).

Goody! In three and a half weeks I'm gonna thank Santa Claus for my presents!

Maybe my intended sarcasm was lost. :D

A while ago I watched a video on YouTube in which an atheist explains about his views.
I commented that I agreed with him.
Some faithful guy then replied something in the lines of "you god-haters...!".
Before I was informed of the reply, another non-believer had already written a fitting comment:

Quote:
"We don't hate god. Why should we? We could as well hate Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy."

I couldn't have said it any better.

Wow... forgotten this thread was here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Feels good be able to hear the family talking about whatever in the other room as I sit here and type this.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Y'ALL!!!! YAY!!! :d^_^b:

Not only did i enjoy some good turkey meat, but i'm having the time of my life watching the James Bond marathon on SyFy. :D Seems that 007 is becoming the 3rd official staple of the holiday. First is the bird of course, second is football; which i'm not wasting my time on obviously.
