 to slow connection speeds

"It's like killing roaches. You have to kill them all otherwise what's the point?"

I'll start it out with a little hint, since it is a bit rather obscure. It's from the third of a five movie franchise.

No one gets my quotes... They must be obscure to normal people!

I'll give a little hint, vigilante justice!

One of the Batman movies maybe? Number three... Val Kilmer's... "Batman Forever"?
But I can't think of anyone in the movie who would have said that...

Ya, I think it is just too obscure. I kept hearing it in commercials recently, so I kinda figured someone else must have seen at least the commercial (people in the US anyway) if not knowing the quote to begin with.

It's from Deathwish 3 with Charles Bronson. A man who in every Deathwish movie has someone he knows or loves beaten, raped, and/or killed and starts on a path of killing street thugs as he tries to find the people who did it. In the third movie he's trying to free a ghetto from being run by a street gang, and his quote refers to those street thugs being comparable to roaches.

I'll let some else take the next one as I continue to dig for quote no one has ever heard

I wouldn't have thought Deathwish...but that's because I can't even remember the name of the Bronson movie I've seen (except that I know for sure it wasn't Deathwish, because I have it on VHS around here somewhere). Anyway...

[gets up in front of everyone] I have something to say. I'm not gonna wait for Wadsworth here to unmask me. I work for the State Department, and I'm a homosexual.
[pause]
I feel no personal shame or guilt about this, but I must keep it a secret, or I will lose my job on security grounds.
[pause]
Thank you.

Hint: a movie based on a game...but it was made some 23 years ago if I do the math right...

23 years ago? That rules out lots of video games. Even all of them I suppose. :D
1985 sounds so... Atari. A board game then?

Is it Mr. Green from Clue?

I feel that this topic needs to be revived again since it's been dead for quite sometime and I happen to have a really good quote right now. Now guess who said this and where it came from.

"I wanted a winning strategy. Instead, I've been cheated of the victory I planned for years by an intergalactic soccer hooligan!"

Two hints:
It's an animated movie.
It's loosely based off of one of the best selling graphic novels of all time.

Yes a board game. I'd completely forgotten that I'd made that post though...

Your turn anyway, since it was Mr. Green from Clue. Everyone was getting blackmailed for something (though Green was a mole (not a plant or even a fruit if you go by the third ending ;))). No clue what it is though...no pun intended...

lol. I knew it was Clue, cuz I believe it's the only board game that had it's own feature film.

Anyway, try to guess the quote that I put up.

The only intergalactic sports star that I know of is Flash Gordon - but that guy was a football player if I remember correctly, and not a soccer player. Otherwise he wouldn't have had his great "charging and dodging" scene.

Sorry to say it, but no.
I'll give ya some more hints. It's animated movie that was released last year and it's the death of the most famous superheroes. It's was said by one of his villains and he was disappointed that someone else killed the superhero and he didn't. One more hint, it's by DC Comics

Do I have to?

Guessed Luthor from Superman: Doomsday from the hint about the animated movie loosely based off of one of the best selling graphic novels of all time. Pass on the next quote if I am in fact right about this one though: I've got nuffin.

OK I got one! Try to guess this one!

"Where there is fire, there is smoke. And in that smoke, from this day forward, my people will crouch and conspire and plot and plan for the inevitable day of Man's downfall - the day when he finally and self-destructively turns his weapons against his own kind. The day of the writing in the sky, when your cities lie buried under radioactive rubble! When the sea is a dead sea, and the land is a wasteland out of which I will lead my people from their captivity! And we will build our own cities in which there will be no place for humans except to serve our ends! And we shall found our own armies, our own religion, our own dynasty! And that day is upon you NOW!"

Hint(s): It's a sci-fi movie during the 70's and it's the 4th movie of this famous movie series. And the character who said that quote is played by Roddy McDowall.
