I liked "HatarakiMAN" quite a bit, so here's the opening:

HatarakiMAN OP

And this is the original video by Puffy:

Puffy - Hataraku Otoko

It answers the question why Anime character designs should not be applied to realistic graphics. :D

And since I'm at it, here's some interesting videos from HALCALI:

HALCALI - Girgiri Surfrider
HALCALI - Electric Sensei
HALCALI - Twinkle Star
HALCALI - Strawberry Chips
HALCALI - Strawberry Chips (Tanaka Chigai Mix)

I like the choreography. And I thought I disliked JapRap... well, these two are pretty cute... especially in that Xmas tree dress...

Ha, nice elevator music... :D

Slipknot - Left behind

Or, maybe, something a little more classic?

Metallica - Wherever I may roam

After I found a really interesting Azumanga AMV* featuring "1985" by Bowling for Soup I thought I could look up some more of their music on YouTube and I was not disappointed.

Bowling for Soup videos:

When we die
Highschool never ends
Punk Rock 101

Speaking of Punk Rock:
Bad Religion - Punk Rock Song
One of the two Bad Religion songs that I like. They all sound the same...

* bad quality at YouTube, get it from AnimeMusicVideos.org

Anyone else heard of Immortal Technique? One of the very few good rappers in existence? (I believe most rap is shit)

Well, there's also Binary Star.

MMM... the underground shit is so good. They actually have thoughtful lyrics put into them. They make you actually listen to them.

Garbage like 50 Cent gives rap a bad name.

Cool song, I can even clearly follow the lyrics - not easy for me with the usual ebonics language.

I'd rather say it's pure nihilism.
Mmsven might like it for its, uh, "out-of-life" lyrics.

In case anyone wonders whatever happened to that kid I think of is Britney Boy, or that gopher... they decided to turn up in the following Wheezer video. Thankfully, you don't have to listen to Britney Boy screaming to leave Britney alone(!) (though that's really not such a bad idea...), and the video's pretty good too...

:vomit:

edit: Hey wait... check this one out too. (Think the other Myspace one I posted about elsewhere in the forum got deleted but it was while filming this video that the deleted one was made...)

Pretty cool. YouTube not only offers videos to watch, it actually influences the way new videos are made! I wonder how many media analysts are writing their PhD about that...

Metal By Numbers
Just good. Besides...I kinda wonder...does metal kinda seem like this now, or is it just me?

I dunno what to make of this. I think Metal is no simpler music than any other style.
And it seems to me that the music, the sound, has become more aggressive. When I listen to metal bands from the early 90s who were considered "hard" at the time I'm wondering how we could ever think this harmless music was actually Metal - besides having the archetypical elements, like provocative lyrics, distorted guitars, bass and such stuff, or in the words of the long gone audio galaxy website:

"Heavy Metal, or Metal, is loud and fast Blues/Acid Rock without the Blues. It is aggressive, menacing Hard Rock. Though Metal is often crass and juvenile, its high speed riffage and soloing is often technically demanding on its musicians. Metal has subdivided and mutated so often during its almost 30 years of existence that it is largely an umbrella term now. Bands whose sounds were influential, (or derivative,) and big enough to typify the entire genre are AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Metallica."
