Synopsis:
Two short and sexually-charged episodes:

• "Alimony Hunter" - Chizuru is a woman who's engaged to be married. But something awakens inside her one night when she witnesses two women making love in public.
• "Seek" - A stimulation-seeking hero rescues a lovely princess from some undesirable elements only to find that she is not what she seems.

Review:
"Alimony Hunter" is a strange one. I mean, in no instance was alimony or money ever mentioned in the story. It's basically about a woman named Chizuru who found herself all hot and bothered after seeing two women in action. Later on, Chizuru is followed by one of the women, who introduces herself as Jun. Now for some reason, Ms. Jun has a penis and is quite adept at using it too. After going all out with Chizuru on the train, Ms. Jun goes home with her and meets her cute teenage stepson. How convenient. You can very well guess what happens next... but hey, if threesomes are your kind of thing then...

"Seek" is about a nameless hero who's constantly looking for stimulation. The hero is ecstatic when he sees that the princess he just rescued is a cute babe. As he proceeds to make her his, a funny surprise pops up and turns the whole situation around.

Of the two eps that comprise this installation of Countdown, I liked "Seek" better. I found it to be quite hilarious and refreshing, but both stories are actually a deviation from the usual hentai theme of men dominating women. "Alimony Hunter" was obviously tailor-made to accomodate several types of sexual combinations (like girl-girl, girl-girl-boy, boy-boy, etc). Ms. Jun is a pretty weird character as she counts as both female and male. I guess she's an example of what hentai-dom refers to as a she-male. As I've mentioned above, the title has nothing to do with the plot. As a whole though, Countdown is a decent effort at creative hentai. The art is very good, as the characters are attractively rendered. The animation lacks polish but the sexual acts are portrayed explicitly. While there is lower body nudity, the genitalia are not shown in detail. Still, if you're tired of the usual hentai clichés, Countdown can be an interesting change of pace.
