Synopsis:
Lt. Kate Curtis is a fresh new face at the Federal Space Army Galaxy Police. But for her first assignment, she's being sent off to the scorchingly hot planet of Doune -- to investigate the kidnapping and rape of pretty young women like herself. Who's been snatching up the ladies? And can Kate remain a virgin now that she's going to be used as a bait for the perpetrators?

Review:
Bondage Queen Kate is yet another case of a hentai anime having a sensationally misleading title. Kate is an agent who goes undercover in order to find out what's really been happening to young women in Doune. Our naive heroine later finds out that this particular mission would require her to conduct herself in such a manner that practically screams "Rape me!". In short, Kate is the police's bait for whoever the culprits are at Doune. This puts Kate in a lot of compromising situations, which make up the hentai part of this anime.

While Kate's assignment does take her to a den where young ladies are trained to become either sex slaves or pets, there isn't really all that much bondage in store for her that would merit the title Bondage Queen Kate. Despite that however, Bondage Queen Kate does have a decent plot that even manages gets a bit unpredictable at times. Things start out a bit slowly however, and I actually dozed off the first part a few times before I was able to watch everything.

The art and animation are so-so at best. I found the character designs to be quite bland and generally unimpressive. Nobody can really be considered as attractive -- including Kate herself, who actually looks rather pudgy-faced. Sex is not depicted as explicitly as hardcore fans would like (by that I mean you're not going to see any of the lower genitalia), but there is a fairly generous amount of nudity. There are also a few bizarre scenes, and one that I can't seem to forget involves a girl and an octopus.

With its adequate storyline but mediocre visuals, Bondage Queen Kate is altogether just an average title.

Miscellanies:
Watch all the way till after the credits to see the real ending. I watched the VHS version and was informed that the DVD version is uncut and features very graphic sex scenes.
