Review:
Tales of Sintillation is but one of the installments featured in The Tales Trilogy (the other two are "Tales of Titillation" and "Tales of Misbehavior"). It features six comically erotic vignettes, each one around 3 to 5 minutes each. They are so short that I can't describe any of them further without giving away spoilers. Each tale is highly amusing, and they all pack a surprise ending that'd pull out the rug from under you.
I noticed that the character designs in Tales of Sintillation are slightly inferior compared to the other two Tales, but they are still very nice nonetheless. The art and animation are good. Everything is so much clearer and more vibrant on DVD (I watched the VHS version beforehand). The sexual content is on the mild side, with no more than boob and panty shots for most part. There are actual sex scenes but the lower extremities aren't really shown, stressing more on the humping action and moaning.
The English dubbing is surprisingly well done. The voices suit the characters, the narrations are very clear, and the girls don't sound like tacky porn stars for a change. Some of the dialogues are also funnier in English. Tales of Sintillation is a nice collection, and I recommend getting it on DVD. There aren't too many DVD extras though, just a few hentai trailers... but you do get all the Tales dubbed and subtitled, plus you save a great deal compared to getting three separate video tapes.

Miscellanies:
Sailormoon's seiyuu, Mitsuishi Kotono, does a few roles in Tales of Sintillation. If this is your kind of scene you can also watch "Tales of Titillation" and "Tales of Misbehavior". The DVD release contains all three tales.
