Synopsis: Kakeru Nanahoshi has always liked Hiromi. The problem is, she won't even give him the time of day. To make things worse, she had just started to go steady with the playboy Doda. No matter... for Kakeru has just discovered a younger, more innocent girl in the form of Urara, his sister's best friend. Better still, Urara seems to like Kakeru too! Will Kakeru finally get himself a girlfriend?
Review: Supposedly a sequel to "End of Summer", First Loves doesn't really have anything to do with any of the stories or characters in End of Summer. It's still a teen romance but it sports a brand new set of characters and sexual relations.
The plot is very, very simple. Kakeru wants a girlfriend, and he has two options available -- Hiromi, who's already taken, and Urara, who's as fresh as a daisy. Not really a hard choice, is it? After conquering some minor obstacles, Kakeru finds the path to true love and of course, sex. Like End of Summer, the overall atmosphere is light and the approach to sex is rather sweet. Kakeru is an unitiated hero, bumbling and unsure of how to proceed -- a perfect match for the equally virginal Urara. As a result, you're obviously not going to get anything hardcore out of these two.
The art and animation are okay. The girls are attractive enough and Kakeru looks like your regular joe. The sex scenes go all the way, but the lower genital areas aren't really shown. There's nothing special about First Loves, but I'd say it's pretty ideal for introducing a person to the world of H. There's nothing outright offensive and it's one of the mildest titles out there.
Miscellanies: "End of Summer" has better art and animation.
