Synopsis:
All the online shops will tell you that True Love puts you in charge of a group of girls on a rampage, looking for a man. Well, that’s just what this game is not. I've played this game several times over and the real deal is... You are a college guy looking love. Ten girls are available, from your childhood friend Mikae to your teacher Ms. Matsumiya. But wooing a girl can be tricky, and if you don't play your cards right, you may just end up with no one.

Review:
Highly interactive and involving, True Love is easily one of the most enjoyable bishoujo games I've played.

At the start of the game, you will be asked to choose what kind of person you'll be. You can be either an intellectual, an athlete, a playboy, or a regular guy. The choice you make affects certain personal statistics. For example, if you choose to be an intellectual type, your scholarship level goes up faster than your other stats. Your character will have several statistics -- passion, appearance, scholarship, physical strength, etc. Each day in the game is divided into three parts - day, evening, and night. You get to plan your activities at the start of the day. You can study, work, shop, etc. at different times. Your stats can be raised or lowered by certain activities. If you choose to engage in sports often, obviously your physical strength will increase. Certain girls have "requirements" before they even talk to you. Let's say you're planning to woo Remi, the school's no. 1 student. You'll have to get your scholarship level very high if you want her to notice you. You can also buy stuff like gifts, accessories, lottery tickets, etc. Saying the right things to the girl(s) you woo is very important too. There are also special events you can unlock if you're in the right place at the right time.

I find it very refreshing to be able to control your character this much, as opposed to the "click and click" syndrome most bishoujo games released in English suffer from. The artwork is pretty good too. The girls look beautiful and their bodily proportions are just perfect. The music is also worth mentioning, each girl even has her own theme. With regards to the sexual content, True Love is on the explicit side. The genitalia are rendered complete with the bodily secretions. There aren't any hardcore stuff though, as most of the girls are first-timers. The replay value is excellent! The different endings are very amusing, and it took me a few nights to get them all. Although I still haven't found the perfect bishoujo game, True Love comes close.

Miscellanies:
Game extras include a CG collection and a music collection.
